The Story Behind Shackled Skies

Shackled Skies is one of the most experimental projects I've created. The idea behind this EP was simple combine energetic electronic music with darker emotional themes and see what happened when those worlds collided. Throughout the project, bright synthesizers, dance rhythms, atmospheric textures, pulsing bass lines, and melodic hooks coexist with stories about isolation, betrayal, invisible struggles, unanswered questions, and the weight of emotions people often keep hidden. One of the clearest examples is Unseen, a song that follows the story of a ghost wandering through a city after being betrayed by friends and family. He has already seen the light waiting for him, yet chooses to remain behind, trapped between memory and existence. The song explores loneliness, disappointment, and the feeling of becoming invisible to the people who once mattered most. What fascinated me while creating this EP was the contrast. Some songs sound energetic, uplifting, and even danceable on the surface. Yet underneath, the stories often deal with uncertainty, loss, fear, identity, and emotional scars. I liked the idea of creating music that could make people move while also giving them something deeper to think about.

Musically, Shackled Skies blends electronic music, dance rhythms, electro-pop influences, atmospheric sound design, and cinematic textures. Many tracks are built around driving beats, layered synthesizers, melodic arpeggios, and memorable hooks designed to stay with the listener long after the song ends. At the same time, the production often incorporates darker moods, haunting melodies, and emotional tension that give the project its distinctive character. Rather than following a strict genre formula, the EP embraces experimentation. Some moments feel futuristic and energetic, while others feel reflective, mysterious, and almost dreamlike. The contrast between light and darkness became one of the defining themes of the entire project.

Unlike some of my other releases, I prefer not to explain every detail behind Shackled Skies. Part of the experience is discovering your own interpretation. The songs were intentionally written in a way that leaves room for different meanings. Depending on your own experiences, you may hear stories about betrayal, depression, grief, resilience, freedom, personal transformation, or something completely different. There is no single correct interpretation. In fact, that idea extends beyond the music itself.

The Artwork

Even the cover artwork contains details, symbols, references, and visual choices that invite questions rather than provide answers. Some of those elements were placed intentionally. Others are there simply to spark curiosity. I encourage listeners to spend time with the artwork, look closely, and decide for themselves what it represents. You may notice things I never intended. You may discover meanings I never considered. And that's perfectly fine. I won't go much deeper into the meaning behind this project. I'd rather leave the doors open and allow each listener to find their own story within the music. More than any explanation I could give, your interpretation is what ultimately completes Shackled Skies.

Sometimes the most interesting stories are the ones that remain partially unexplained.
