The Story Behind Me Levanto
Me Levanto marked the beginning of a new chapter for Becker Bot Music's rap catalog. Technically, it wasn't my first rap release. An earlier rap EP existed before this song, but I eventually chose to remove it from streaming platforms. Many of those tracks were inspired by experiences from my teenage years, including a period when I was involved with street gangs at sixteen. The lyrics were far more explicit, and some stories are better left in the past. Not because they didn't happen. But because there are things that don't need to be glorified, and some chapters are best remembered as lessons rather than repeated. That's why Me Levanto became a fresh start.
Instead of focusing on conflict, controversy, or shock value, I wanted to create something with attitude, personality, and energy while keeping the message centered on resilience. At its core, the song is about getting back up after setbacks, staying loyal to the people who matter, and continuing to move forward no matter what life throws at you.
Flordmar Takes Center Stage
Although this wasn't Flordmar's first appearance, Me Levanto became one of the defining moments that helped establish her place within the Becker Bot Music universe.
The woman behind the character will remain anonymous, but she is an incredibly creative person and someone I have always enjoyed collaborating with. Rap is not her usual genre, yet she stepped into the project without hesitation and delivered exactly the attitude the song needed. Her opening verse immediately sets the tone: bold, confident, unapologetic, and full of personality. Looking back, Me Levanto became one of the early foundations for what would later turn Flordmar into one of the most recognizable and beloved recurring characters in the Becker Bot Music catalog. What started as a creative collaboration eventually became the beginning of a much larger story.
The song also features Don Escobar, another recurring voice within the Becker Bot Music universe A proud chilango who currently lives in Aguascalientes, Don Escobar brought a completely different energy to the project. His calm delivery, confidence, and storytelling style provided the perfect contrast to the more aggressive and energetic moments of the song. His verse helped complete the vision behind Me Levanto, turning the track into a conversation between different personalities rather than a traditional solo performance.
Inspired by Mexican lowrider culture, West Coast hip hop, Latin rap, and classic G-Funk, Me Levanto was built around deep bass lines, swinging drums, wah-wah guitars, cinematic synths, and grooves designed to sound just as good through headphones as they do through a car sound system. The result is a track that feels equally at home cruising through the city at night or blasting through speakers with friends, The song embraces the spirit of classic street anthems while maintaining a playful and cinematic energy. Rather than dwelling on the past, it focuses on perseverance, confidence, loyalty, and personal growth.
While Me Levanto embraces street imagery and urban culture, its message is ultimately simple Fall, Get back up, Keep moving. Because no matter where we come from, everyone eventually faces a moment when they have to decide whether to stay down or rise again. For me, this song represented exactly that a new beginning, a cleaner direction, and a reminder that growth doesn't mean pretending the past never existed. It simply means choosing what comes next. In many ways, Me Levanto became more than just a rap song. It marked the start of a new era, introduced listeners to personalities that would continue appearing throughout future Becker Bot Music releases, and proved that sometimes the strongest statement an artist can make is not about where they've been, but about where they're going.
